Commercial Music:
Piano Teaching Fundamentals
Brand new as of Fall 2020, the fully online Certificate of Achievement in Commercial Music: Piano Teaching Fundamentals is designed to provide current or prospective piano teachers with the pedagogical skills and business acumen they will require to succeed in a career as a piano teacher for a wide array of students. The certificate can be earned in as little as one semester at LPC!
Career opportunities include, but are not limited to: Private Piano Teacher for students of all ages and skill levels, piano teacher based in a music studio, music school owner/operator, and group piano teacher.

Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the Certificate of Achievement in Commercial Music: Piano Teaching Fundamentals, students are able to teach a series of effective piano lessons tailored to a specific student's strengths and weaknesses.
Upon completion of the Certificate of Achievement in Commercial Music: Piano Teaching Fundamentals, students are able to create a business plan for a successful independent piano teaching studio.
Upon completion of the Certificate of Achievement in Commercial Music: Piano Teaching Fundamentals, students are able to utilize a variety of piano teaching methods and approaches in a private or group lesson.
