Faculty Support

Faculty support is handled by LPC during the weekdays and by Canvas on nights and weekends. 

LPC’s Wanda Butterly (wbutterly@laspositascollege.edu, 925-424-1655) is available for technical assistance from 9-5:30 Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. She is available from 8-4:30 Tuesdays. Scott Vigallon (svigallon@laspositascollege.edu, 925-424-1654) provides technical and instructional assistance from 8-5 Monday through Friday. Both work in the Teaching and Learning Center, Room 2410.

On nights and weekends, faculty can get Canvas technical assistance by clicking Help in the global navigation menu. On that page, they can receive support via 24x7 live chat and 24x7 email. That page will also be powered by LPC’s Knowledge Base that gives answers to popular college- and district-specific questions.

Faculty can also get most of their technical questions answered by searching the Canvas Guides. The link to the guides is available within the Canvas Help menu. Additionally, the LPC Online Learning web site’s Canvas Faculty Resources page contains lots of helpful information for you. Included in this page is a link to the Canvas Release Notes so you will know when new tools and features are available. 

Student Support

For students, the LPC Help Desk will handle all Canvas technical issues during regular business hours. For support issues on nights, weekends, and holidays, students can get the same chat and email support by going to the Help menu in Canvas.
